Vishwaguru Rabindranath’s teachings, thoughts and philosophies still attract many around the world, but few follow them in their true spirit. A true disciple of Rabindranath Tagore and a firm believer of Gurudev’s philosophy on various aspects including education and politics, Home Minister Amit Shah sees Rabindranath as his guiding light.

Shah, a voracious Rabindranath reader, is particularly attracted to Gurudev’s free thought for politics, social life, art and, patriotism is unlike the kind of narrow-mindedness found now. Gurudev’s thoughts guide Shah and he finds inspiration in his thoughts.

Shah’s respect for Rabindranath, emanating from the writings of the great poet and philosopher, is so much so that he found the word ‘Mahamanav’ was not sufficient to describe the great personality.

Taking Rabindranath’s thought that emphasised imparting education in the mother’s tongue in the true spirit, it was Shah who emphasised that the National Education Policy (NEP) be modelled on that philosophy of Tagore, essentially to help ignite a child’s capacity of thinking & researching and explore her inner self.

“Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore always laid great emphasis on education in one’s mother tongue. A child’s capacity for thinking and research is severely restricted if he/she cannot speak in his/her mother tongue. The New Education Policy, formulated under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has taken inspiration from the thoughts of Gurudev and given thrust on education in the mother tongue,” Shah said.

Gurudev believed that glorifying foreign education and universities should not be the goal of our education system. Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore put forth this new idea of education as opposed to education by rote learning. These resonate in the NEP.

In Santiniketan, Tagore amalgamated the ancient Indian knowledge system with modern learning techniques. Tagore gave maximum impetus to learning in the mother tongue. He knew one could not explore his inner self without the use of his mother tongue. Shah’s emphasis on education in the mother tongue comes from Tagore’s teachings.

Shah is amazed to learn how, despite being a son of a Zamindar family of Bengal, Rabindranath could express the thoughts of ideas of common people so eloquently. Rabindranath, Shah believes, was a global personality in a true sense and contributed not just to art in India, but across various disciplines globally. (ends)

The Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology (Gamaleya Center) and the Russian Direct Investment Fund announce a publication in Emerging Microbes & Infections, a peer-reviewed medical journal, sharing the results of a study on intranasally delivered Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. The study shows this type of the vaccine induces a strong and durable immune response in animals.

The article has been peer-reviewed and is available at:

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/22221751.2022.2119169

The intranasal Sputnik V was studied in in mice and in non-human primates (common marmosets). High immunogenic properties of the vaccine were verified by marked IgG and neutralizing antibody (NtAb) production in blood serum, antigen-specific T-cell proliferation and formation of IgA antibodies in the nasal mucosa.

The vaccine induced a robust (no less than 180 days) systemic and local immune response. Study’s findings demonstrate that in the mouse model, intranasal and intramuscular administration of Sputnik V vaccine elicits comparable magnitude of central antigen-specific immunity, while only intranasal vaccination forms humoral and cell-mediated response in lungs.

Lungs are more vulnerable to infection by the novel strains of coronavirus, including BA4 and BA5 sub-strains of Omicron. The ability of intranasal vaccine to elicit protective immunity at the entry gates of infection provided by mucosal vaccination is key to block virus infection and transmission and may become a “silver bullet” that could bring the pandemic to an end.

Intranasal administration of Sputnik V is well-tolerated and effective for developing both local and systemic immune responses, as well as providing protection against lethal virus challenge, which is comparable to that of the initially developed intramuscular vaccine.

An earlier study conducted by a team of Russian scientists including representatives of the City Clinical Hospital No. 67 named after L.A. Vorokhobov and the Gamaleya Center has demonstrated Sputnik V’s efficacy against hospitalisation caused by Omicron for those vaccinated with 3 or 4 components (re-vaccination with Sputnik Light or Sputnik V after Sputnik V) was 97% and 99.4% against critical cases. These results have been published in June 2022 in the Vaccines leading peer-reviewed medical journal[i].

Sputnik V is one of the safest and most effective vaccines against coronavirus in the world and has become the most exported pharmaceutical product in the Russian history. The high safety and efficacy of Sputnik V and one-shot Sputnik Light have been confirmed by more than 50 clinical studies and data compiled during national vaccination programs in various parts of the world, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Research on the Sputnik V vaccine has been published in leading international peer-reviewed medical journals, including The Lancet, Nature, Vaccines, Cell Reports Medicine and others.

The Russian Direct Investment Fund is among the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds with a diversified investment portfolio in key sectors. RDIF has played a leading role in development of a ‘triad’ against coronavirus including test-systems, a drug and the Sputnik V vaccine, which has helped to save millions of lives in more than 30 countries around the world.

RDIF invested in development and production of both Sputnik V and Sputnik Light, which have helped save millions of lives globally. Sputnik V has been authorized in 71 countries with total population of over 4 billion people. Sputnik Light has been approved in more than 30 countries. Sputnik V and Sputnik Light are based on a safe human adenoviral vector platform proven in more than 30 years and are not associated with serious adverse events such as myocarditis or pericarditis.

Cancer is a global health issue and among the leading causes of death worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, cancer leads to nearly one in six deaths worldwide. It is a term used for a large group of diseases with a defining feature of abnormal cell growth, usually beyond their boundaries and expected numbers. As per interactive session and inputs received from Dr Avinash Gupta, a senior Physician practicing in New Jersey, USA, with modern advancements in technology, the treatment of different kinds of cancer has come a long way. However, the most effective strategy for managing the global burden of cancer is effective prevention and early screening of cancers.Early detection of cancers usually leads to a better prognosis for the patient. Late stage metastatic cancer, or cancer that’s spread to other parts of the body, is much harder to treat. People with a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer have a 5-year relative survival rate.In comparison, those with stage 1 cancer have a 5-year relative survival rate of about 90 percent. There are a number of tests available today that can help detect early signs of cancer or even a predisposition to developing it. Recently With Government of India support AlIMS Delhi  has set up  National Cancer Institute, Jhajjar Haryana and  Chief NCI reiterates in Public lectures that we are able to save Cancer patients if they come for consultation at early stage but India due to less awareness, no female disclose her small breast lump either to her husband or her father and moves to hospital at 4th/Last stage of cancer .Inadequate awareness and unavailability of screening modalities in developing countries lead to patients presenting with cancers at a later stage, which are difficult to treat and life-threatening. According to the American Cancer Society, healthy women/men should undergo periodic screening for breast, cervical, colon, prostate and other cancers.

Early signs of cancer

One of the best ways to fight the disease is to catch it in the early stages, when it’s more treatable. The problem is that the warning signs for many kinds of cancer can seem pretty mild.

Take a look at these signs and symptoms. Some are linked more strongly to cancer than others, but all are worth knowing about — and even talking over with your doctor.

1. Breast Changes

Symptoms of breast cancer include a lump in the breast, bloody discharge from the nipple and changes in the shape or texture of the nipple or breast. A cancer that forms in the cells of the breasts. Breast cancer can occur in women and rarely in men, However as per health journal reports, in 2017 alone, 2,470 men diagnosed with breast cancer.  “Men tend to ignore breast lumps because breast cancer isn’t on their radar,” Meyers says, warning that in men those cancers are also, “diagnosed much later.” Don’t take any chances.

2. Problems during urination

Many men/women have some problems peeing as they get older, like:

  1. A need to pee more often, especially at night
  2. Dribbling, leaking, or an urgent need to go
  3. Trouble starting to pee, or a weak stream
  4. A burning sensation during urination

An enlarged prostate gland usually causes these symptoms, but so can prostate cancer. See your doctor to check on the cause of the problem. They’ll give you an exam to look for an enlarged prostate, and they may talk to you about a blood test (called a PSA test) for prostate cancer.

3. Blood in Urine or Stool

These can be among the first signs of cancer of the bladder, kidneys, or colon. It’s a good idea to see your doctor for any bleeding that’s not normal, even if you don’t have other symptoms, Lepor says. Although you’re more likely to have a problem that’s not cancer, like haemorrhoids or a urinary infection, it’s important to find and treat the cause.

4. Skin Changes

When you notice a change in the size, shape, or colour of a mole or other spot on your skin, see your doctor as soon as you can. Spots that are new or look different are top signs of skin cancer. You’ll need an exam and perhaps a biopsy, which means doctors remove a small piece of tissue for testing.

5. Changes in Lymph Nodes

Tenderness of swelling in your lymph nodes, the small bean-shaped glands found in your neck, armpits, and other places, often signal that something’s going on in your body. Usually, it means your immune system is fighting a sore throat or cold, but certain cancers can also trigger the changes. Have your doctor check any swelling or tenderness that doesn’t get better in 2 to 4 weeks, Meyers says.

6. Trouble Swallowing

Some people have trouble swallowing from time to time. But if your problems don’t go away and you’re also losing weight or vomiting, your doctor may want to check you for throat or stomach cancer. They’ll start with a throat exam and barium X-ray. During a barium test, you drink a special liquid that makes your throat stand out on the X-ray.

7. Heartburn

You can take care of most cases of heartburn with changes to your diet, drinking habits, and stress levels. If that doesn’t help, ask your doctor to look into your symptoms. Heartburn that doesn’t go away or gets worse could mean stomach or throat cancer. Heartburn can also lead to a condition called Barrett’s oesophagus, which occurs when stomach acid damages the lining of oesophagus. While it is rare, Barrett’s can make you more susceptible to developing throat cancer.

8. Mouth Changes

If you smoke or chew tobacco, you have a higher risk of mouth cancer. Keep an eye out for white, red, gray or yellow patches inside your mouth or on your lips. You could also develop a canker sore that looks like an ulcer with a crater in it. Talk to your doctor or dentist about tests and treatments.

9. Weight Loss without Trying

Pants fitting a little looser? If you haven’t changed your diet or exercise habits, it could mean that stress or a thyroid problem is taking a toll. But losing 10 pounds or more without trying isn’t normal. Although most unintended weight loss is not cancer, it’s one of the signs of cancer of the pancreas, stomach, or lungs. Your doctor can find out more with blood tests and tools that make detailed pictures of the inside of your body, like a CT or PET scan.

10. Fever

A fever is usually not a bad thing — it means your body is fighting an infection. But one that won’t go away and doesn’t have an explanation could signal leukaemia or another blood cancer. Your doctor should take your medical history and give you a physical exam to check on the cause.

11. Fatigue

Many types of cancer cause a bone-deep tiredness that never gets better, no matter how much rest you get. It’s different from the exhaustion you feel after a hectic week or a lot of activity. If fatigue is affecting your daily life, talk to your doctor. They can help you find the cause and let you know if there are ways to treat it.

12. Cough

In non-smokers, a nagging cough is usually not cancer. Most go away after 3 to 4 weeks. If yours doesn’t, and you’re short of breath or cough up blood, don’t delay a visit to your doctor, especially if you smoke. A cough is the most common sign of lung cancer. Your doctor can test mucus from your lungs to see if you have an infection. They may also give you a chest X-ray to check for another problem.

13. Pain

Cancer doesn’t cause most aches and pains, but if you’re hurting for more than a month, don’t just grin and bear it. Ongoing pain can be a signal of many types of cancer, including bone or brain cancer, especially those that have spread, Lepor says.

14. Belly Pain and Depression

It’s rare, but depression along with stomach pain can be a sign of cancer of the pancreas. Should you worry? Not unless this cancer runs in your family, Meyers says. Then you need to see your doctor.

Steps proposed to be initiated:Though as per ICMR Reports, Instances of All Cancer Cases are higher in Men than Women, if data is to be believed, Indian women are more prone to cancer as compared to men. Among females, gynaecologic cancers, including breast cancer (51 per cent), accounted for over half of all cancers.Steps proposed to be initiated as a part of Women cancer awareness campaign

  • Recommendations for breast cancer:

Women older than 40 should have a mammogram every year. Women older than 55 can switch to a mammogram every two years or continue doing it yearly. Screening should be continued until the woman is in good health and is expected to live for another 10 years. Some women are considered at a high risk of breast cancer and should be screened with a breast MRI and mammogram yearly. MRI should be used in addition to, not instead of, a mammogram. This includes women who: ● Have themselves or have a 1st-degree relative been diagnosed with genetic cancer syndromes, like BRCA1 mutation, BRCA2 mutation, Li-Fraumeni syndrome, and others.

  • Recommendations for cervical cancer.

Women older than 25 should have a cervical cytology test (commonly known as a Pap smear test) every 3 years. Alternatively, women older than 25 can undergo testing for high-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) every 5 years. Co-testing with cervical cytology and hrHPV test can also be done every 5 years. Screening should be continued till the age of 65 if the results of tests have been normal for the last 10 years. Cervical cancer is unique among cancers as most cases are caused by a virus known as the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), and we have a vaccine for it. The Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) recommends vaccinating all children, male and female, for HPV between the ages of 9-14 with two doses of the HPV vaccine. Children aged 15 and above can still be vaccinated for HPV but require three doses.

  • Recommendations for colon cancer.

Patients have different options for screening tests for colon cancer. For average-risk individuals, people older than 45 should undergo screening tests. Colon cancer screening can be done by either a colonoscopy every 10 years, a flexible sigmoidoscopy every 5 years, or faecal occult blood tests every year. More frequent screening, every 3-5 years, may be required if colonoscopy reveals the presence of polyps. Screening should be continued until the age of 85. Some individuals are considered at a higher risk for colon cancers and have different screening recommendations. Individuals with one or more family members who have had colon cancer need to be screened with a colonoscopy starting at age 40 or 10 years before their relative got diagnosed with colon cancer, whichever is earlier. They also need more frequent tests. No other types of tests are recommended for such individuals.

  • Public awareness and Cancer Cure Research : Ray of Hope

By knowing and understanding the basics about cancer and following the recommended guidelines for screening, men and women can help reduce the number of cases and increase survival rates by allowing treatment to begin earlier.Unfortunately as per medical records cancer of pancreas and ovaries are detected late. Similarly, more effective Cancer cure research is also needed. Recently, Small trial sees potential for new rectal cancer drug; After receiving an experimental drug called “dostarlimab” in a small trial, all 12 participants experienced complete remission. Doctors say this is the first time that such a cancer drug has had a 100% success rate in a clinical trial. Results of the small study, done by researchers at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, but it’s too early to call it cancer cure. Newer treatments such as monoclonal antibodies have greatly improved survival.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today unveiled writer-social activist Sanjay Sherpuriya’s historical book “Main Madhobhai: Ek Pakistani Hindu” at an event in the Sant Kanwar Dham, which was established in the memory of Amar Shaheed Sant Kanwar Sahib.

This book chronicles the issues faced by Hindus, who are currently residing in Pakistan. According to the author, this book is a living depiction of the suffering of Hindus living in Pakistan. This book describes in detail the ill-treatment that the people of Hindu society have been facing in Pakistan for 70 years in the face of the tragedy of the Partition of India.
It also proves that only Hindus have suffered all the loss due to the partition of India on the basis of religion.

Sherpuria has done extensive research on this topic over the years. He penned down the book on the basis of his research. He has also played an important role in settling a settlement of Pakistani Hindus in Delhi. At the same time constantly striving to improve the lives of refugees.

In this ceremony, along with Bhagwat, Param Pujya Shankaracharya, Jyotirmath Peethadhishwar Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj and Shrinath Peethadhishwar Swami Jitendra Nath Ji Maharaj, besides many saints of Panchayats, Akharas and Peeths of the country and abroad were also present.

Sanjay Rai Sherpuria’s this book will become a guiding path for Hindu culture to the modern generation.

Thousands of saints and lakhs of Hindus gathered in Mahakumbh at Chitrakoot.

The Sangh chief called for unity among Hindus.

Hindus have to be Himalayas: Swami Rambhadracharya

”Only the Hindus unity will pave the way for human welfare in the world.” Today, the huge forum of Hindu Ekta Mahakumbh organized in Chitrakoot has given many such important messages to the world. In the same forum, Sir Sangh Chalak Mohan Bhagwat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh also released Sanjay Rai Sherpuria’s book Hindu Dharma Ki Dharohar, Bhartiye Sanskriti.

He said that the title itself gives a comprehensive introduction to this book. What is Sanatan Hindu Dharma and how it is continuously functioning as an invaluable treasure of Indian culture? These facts are the basis of this book. He further said, “Words like Yagya, Havan, Shankh, Padma, Cow, Trishul, Mandir, Devasthan is in Sanatan Hindu Vedic culture only. These are not only words, but the pronunciation of these words itself reflects that what is the secret of life and life itself? What are our Gods, Goddesses and religious symbols?  Why and how much important they are?

The way the society is changing and many worship systems are evolving in the world. In such an environment, if anyone wants to know and understand Hindu culture, they must read this book of Sanjay Rai Sherpuria. The manner in which the eternal symbols have been presented in the form of rosary of beads in this book is amazing. All the major facts, elements and symbols are present in this book to understand Indianness, culture and Hindu heritage. This book is such a key that will play an efficient role in connecting the future generations to their origins and understanding Hindu culture.

The Hindu Ekta Mahakumbh at Lord Shri Ram’s Sankalp Bhoomi Chitrakoot concluded today with great happiness and new energy in the grand presence of thousands of saints and lakhs of Hindu community. The convener of this event was Tulsi Peeth’s successor Acharya Ramchandra Das and patron Dharmachakravarti Tulsipeethadhishwar Swami Rambhadracharyaji. Today many messages were given to the world in the matter of Hindutva from this vast platform.

Organized under the patronage of Tulsi Peethadheeshwar, Padmavibhushan, Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya, in this Mahakumbh the Sarsangh Chalak Mohan Bhagwat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was the chief guest of the program. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sadhvi Ritambara, Swami Chidanand Muni, Ramesh Bhai Ojha, Ramvilas Das Vedanti and almost all saints and sages of India’s Sanatan Vedic Hindu tradition were present on the occasion.

This event has been organized at a time when various types of conspiracies are being planned against Hindu culture in the country and the world. With the abolition of Article 370 in Kashmir, the construction of the huge Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, the construction of Baba Vishwanath Corridor in Kashi, the salvation of Lord Shri Krishna Janasthali in Mathura, etc many remarkable works have progressed. Divisive conspiracies of caste, sect and creed are being done to break the unity of Hindus. In such a time, this event is important in many ways. This is an attempt to acquaint the world with the vast nature of Hindutva.

In this event, an attempt was made to give a message that all the representatives of Samagra Hindutva should join in and strengthen social unity by giving the message of Hindu unity from one platform. In this event, apart from the saints, an attempt was also made to represent the socio-cultural identity of the country.

When someone asks Jai, what is your hobby, immediately comes the reply, “I like to play video games and watch game videos.” With the schools being closed and kids having lots of time at hand parents are finding it difficult to engage kids in productive activities. The prolonged working hours for parents are a spoil sport for kids.

Kids are wasting their time in watching television, playing video games and watching lame games videos said many parents we approached them.
We came across one such parent who prompted his kid to make those game videos himself.

When we spoke to parents, they said that the nine year old came to them and asked if they can make similar videos and post on youtube. With the little understanding of how this content is made the father asked Jai, “How you would make the video, do you know how to upload and how will you make the youtube channel?  Immediately came the reply, “I have already made the youtube channel on my id, created for school on gmail and I have made few videos as well, which I want to show you before I upload, I have even decided the name of the channel- Jai Gaming 22”.
When we spoke to father, he said, “Jai has left us with no option, he came to me with quite interesting, intelligent and most importantly cute videos in his cute voice. When we agreed he got his friends and our friends to subscribe his channel as well. First 15 subscribers he got for his channel. The only thing he is stopped from is using any bad words which are generally used by youtubers. For last two and a half months he has not missed even a single day when the video is not made or posted.”

Jai is a nine year old kid and his passion is playing video games, playing chess and jogging. He also loves to try different cuisines. He hates sleeping and is always forced to sleep. He loves reading story books and watching games videos. He loves his grandfather  who says that

Koshish karne walon ki kabhi haar nai hoti’. Always keep trying is his mantra after taking inspiration from his grandfather.
